Edgar Allan Powe

As Book-Loop readers know, today marks the 163rd anniversary of the publication of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven."

As Celtics fans know, this evening Leon Powe (rhymes with Edgar Allan) had a career night with 25 points and 11 boards.

A remarkable turn of events. We shall call him The Raven, forevermore.

Side note of additional paranormal concern: I know everyone noticed the recent signing of a certain catcher in the AL East. And I'm not talking about Doug Mirabelli—although his production at the plate is paranormal in its own right. No, friends, the phantasmagorical demigod in catcher's clothing who eats bubonic plague for breakfast and farts primal screams has risen once again. This time he is too close for comfort. Before it was all fun and games; now it's real. Let this be the last mention of it. Ever.

I'm in shock

Given the unlikeliness that he will play on any given week because of his shoulder, I cannot believe Brady is going to risk his career with a sore ankle. Seriously, see for yourself:
