With the playoffs not possible, and more ping-pong balls better, here are two questions:
1. Should Pierce come back this season?
2. Should the Celtics fire Doc, knowing that they will have to pay up the remainder of this year's (and I believe the next?) contract?
My vote: No, and No.

1. I'd like to say no, but I'm afraid that's kind of unrealistic. Still, if I'm Eddie Lacerte, I'm cooking up all sorts of phantom injuries right now.
2. Absolutely not. A few more wins is not worth losing a few more lotto balls. Now the off season...that's a different story.
