The franchise has gone to absolute shit

From the Boston Globe:

If there was a sign of Allen's positive attitude in the midst of a difficult situation, it came during the ride to the hospital Wednesday night. Although he couldn't apply force with his right leg, Veal drove Allen and Allen's mother to the hospital. With Veal using his right foot for the gas and his left foot for the brake, Allen's mother became nervous.

"His mom was concerned about my driving," said Veal. "She was asking for the ambulance. Tony was like, 'No, man, this is better than the ambulance.' It's Scal.

They can't spring for an ambulance--or even a fucking taxi cab? They have to have the injured fatty drive him to the hospital? Absurd.

In fact, this whole story is absurd. Tony Allen tears up his knee on a dunk attempt after the whistle had blown. Tony Allen's grandmother had been flown in for the game because it was Tony's 25th birthday, and so she had to watch the gruesome injury. Then, fucking Scales plays Mr. Ambulence Driver. Damn.
